Tyre reviews Nordman SX2. Page 1 196

Spent the whole summer on these tires. The impressions are extremely positive. I felt confident on both dry and wet surfaces. The Black Sea's serpentines passed without any complaints. The soft and quiet rubber is a wonderful thing. I'm sure there are better ones out there, but the price is a different story altogether. I've looked for a better price-quality ratio, and I haven't found any. My mileage is not high, but the wear is virtually non-existent. Aquaplaning

The tire itself is fine, but it wears down extremely quickly. Over the course of three months, the tread depth of the front tires dropped by about 5mm.

Good value for the money. At the moment, I can only note a slight increase in noise level compared to the stock bridges.

Use 90% on the track. Performs well on wet surfaces - that's a must. Other than that - excellent price/quality ratio. Clearly, there are tires that are quieter..., but the price is also a bit higher. And the mileage is also lower. I think I'll get at least 4 seasons (around 45-50 thousand km) out of these.

The choice was painful, I eventually settled on two Nordman SX2 and Kumho Road Performance. I chose Nordman after all, because I liked the winter Nordman 5 and 7 in winter operation. Before that there were summer Michelin and Goodyear, Michelin is a great tire but the price is a bit high, and Goodyear just didn't work at all. And now about the SX2. I bought it at the end of May 2020, the

In the first season, there were blisters inside the two tires, when it's hot it melts and sticks to the asphalt, so fuel consumption increases. Had to change them in the middle of the season. Installed Nitto (Malaysia). Third season and everything's super.

Tire size: 205 55 R16. Driving style: relaxed. Tires worn down to the last tread mark after three seasons of approximately 30,000 km of driving. The last season was not driven at all, a huge hassle. As soon as I changed to these tires from winter tires, I immediately realized they were extremely noisy, as noisy as shod Yokohama tires, they handle very well but on wet asphalt they float, not to mention if it has frozen,

I will write another review of these tires after five years of use. Starting from the third year, cracks began to appear on the tires and the rubber started to peel off in pieces, visually similar to the result of driving on mountainous rocky roads. In fact, I don't even drive on such roads every year, so I blame the processes that occur with the rubber over time. As a result, the tread depth is still over 3 mm, but the tires can no longer be used. The second weak point is the weak sidewalls, a slight contact with the curb and a scratch is ready. I was lucky that the cord was not damaged and two minor cuts that occurred in the second year of use allowed me to continue driving on this tire. The conclusions from my use are as follows: the rubber is generally not bad, soft and quite quiet, but it needs to be worn out quickly, i.e. a large mileage on good roads. I just didn't have time and the rubber fell apart before I could wear it out on the asphalt.

I can say about the NOKIAN Nordman-SX2 set: it's worth the money paid for it. I rode on them all spring and don't regret trusting Nokian despite my not-so-great experience with their winter tires. I bought them at the same place - nokian-spb.ru. Compared to the previous SX2, they seem silent, grippy and, most importantly, well-manageable. Braking distance at a level, handling in turns is stable

From the grip perspective, noise, directional stability, side wall strength - no issues at all. It handles aggressively in turns without a single slide, and even aquaplaning was nonexistent in deep puddles. I even drove on snow and icy roads – they held. Not great, but they held!
The only minus is wear resistance: the fronts wore down to 3 mm after 17,000 km, the rears to 5 mm. Plus, after switching to
