After Hakapellitas 7, I tried a pair of 8s, but I was a bit let down and decided to take a 7, but they were no longer in production. I then took a Nokian 7, convinced that it was as good, if not better, as the legendary 7s, and cheaper to boot. However, on the leading axle, a 17-18 year old tire on a shoddy 7 had two studs come loose

Compared to the studded tires Nordman 5 RS (185/60/R15), which I've been driving on every winter since 2015 (7 years + 2 years ago I did a re-studding on them), I didn't bother and bought almost the same thing. I can say that I didn't see a big difference from the Nordman 7 (195/60/R15) tires, because in my opinion, the seventh model might be a bit softer than the fifth, and it's also less noisy on asphalt, although the number of studs on both tire models is absolutely the same. The only difference is that the seventh model has a more aggressive tread pattern, and I saw a small positive difference in the first winter of use, when I was driving out of snowy drifts in the courtyards of city apartments - the new tires grip better. Over the year of use in the winter season, I drove more than 2,000 km on them, not a single stud came off, although there were cases of wheelspin on slippery snowy reagent mash on asphalt more than once. But on the fifth model, I also didn't have a single stud come off in the first winter. In the second winter, 3 or 4 studs came off (I don't remember exactly), and afterwards, of course, more. I think it will be the same with the seventh model. On the fifth model, there were cases when I got into mud - it gets stuck instantly. With the Nordman 7, it will probably be the same, because you have to understand that these types of tires are designed exclusively for operation in harsh winter conditions. Well, for several years now, I'll definitely have enough of this tire, and then we'll see.
The handling on dry roads - well, how can I say? If you don't brake sharply at high speed, it won't lose traction. At turn angles of 60° at 100 km/h in winter on cleaned asphalt, I didn't feel any skidding, probably the role was played by the side-sloping lamellas.
The tire is resistant to aquaplaning, confidently pushing water out of the side grooves, but at 120 km/h I didn't drive into a puddle, of course - I'm not crazy enough to do such experiments...
As for the noise on the road, I think it's foolish to talk about it, because these are studded tires. But I'll say one thing - the softness is at a sufficient level for the class of my car. And if you compare it with the Kama 236 summer tires, which came as standard equipment when I bought the new car, then at a speed of 130-140 km/h, the winter Nordman, both the 5th and 7th models, is quieter than the Kama 236 summer tires 😄☝️

These are not the first studded tires. Before them, there were Cordiant Snow Cross and a Chinese no-name brand. Various non-studded tires. At first, I was afraid of the studs, advisors convinced me that they slide like skates on asphalt during emergency braking. Nonsense! The first studded tires I got were by chance, old, hard, but even they gripped significantly better than non-studded tires. I bought Cordiant. I realized that driving without studs in winter is simply dangerous. The next tires were Nordman 7 and they really work even better, giving more confidence behind the wheel. I ordered them here, at Mosavtoshina. No complaints. I definitely recommend these tires for purchase. 3 seasons have passed, the studs are in place, minimal wear, no problems or complaints. I would buy them again, but Nordman doesn't have the size I need for my new car.

Very soft, from gardening in snowy winter can be taken out without any problem. It hums on asphalt like all studded tires. At minus 38 degrees it is still soft.

Spent 2 Siberian winters with snow. Drive slowly, don't shave at the traffic lights. All studs are in place. For example, after the first winter, part of the studs came off during the winter holiday. The tire was well-balanced. Can't say anything bad about the Nordman 7. Good tires. Soft sidewall, no bulge.

Hello everyone!
The city where I mainly use these tires is St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region. Overall, the tires are worth their money, and they're more suitable for northern regions with a lot of snow and stable sub-zero temperatures. In St. Petersburg, unfortunately, the winters are different every year, and Big Love fills the city with "high-quality reagents", so for the city, you can also drive on studded tires.
This year, for the New Year's holidays, we drove to Kirovsk (Murmansk region), and there, these tires were simply perfect. The roads aren't sprinkled with anything, the temperature is stable below zero, and studded tires are just what you need!
The tires are moderately noisy, the studs don't come off, all 100% are in place, I drive moderately (I've been driving on them since 2019), they handle snow well, and on ice, they're predictable (just use your head).
In the spring, as soon as the temperature rises above zero, I immediately take them off, because they become difficult to drive on due to their softness, heavy starts and braking, and they become wobbly like jelly.
I keep the pressure at 2.3 in the front and 2.2 in the back, size 195/60/15. In sub-zero temperatures, the tires behave completely differently, this is their element.
On dry asphalt, they also behave normally.
Overall, I recommend them to those who prefer studded tires to non-studded ones.

Previously, I drove on BFGoodrich G-Force Stud, which was soft - yes, not noisy, seemed to hold well, but the instability, constant ABS engagement, in general, you understand only in comparison.
Of course, Nordman is definitely noisy due to the shape of the stud and the quality of the tire itself, but you feel incredibly confident on it, although sometimes it's for nothing, being so confident that the tire is studded and new, I didn't stop on black ice, and a small accident was guaranteed. This is no longer related to the tire, but more to the driver... in general, you still need to drive with sense, despite the car and tires.
The traction properties are excellent, especially since I took a lower profile than recommended, which is super for winter.. the ruts were not a problem.
In snowy conditions, the car drives and reverses too...
Overtaking through ruts doesn't make my soul sink, confidently goes through snowy and slippery sections. And I'll note one more big plus - in 2 seasons, I haven't lost a single stud, although earlier this was a problem for me, studs constantly flew out, regardless of the tire... This is my first studded tire. My driving style is not aggressive, but dynamic.. Highway/city - 40/60%.
