The Hyundai Grand Starex minivan had previously been fitted with a winter studded Dunlop Ice 03, which had been driven for 4 seasons and could still have been used, but I decided to sell it and install new tires. However, by the time I was choosing new tires, the price of Dunlop had skyrocketed, and I was choosing based on price and quality. I chose the studded Nokian Nordman 7 based on reviews. Previously, I had Hakka R7 on my front-wheel drive and it was fine. But I was disappointed with the Nordman 7, after 4 years of driving on Dunlop, the traction from a standstill even in a small snowy mess or under snowy ice was simply terrible, it would slip and get stuck. The minivan is rear-wheel drive with a light rear and heavy front, so in order to drive somehow, I had to load 200 kg of sandbags into the trunk, and then it became more or less normal to start moving in the snow, like it was before on Dunlop without a load).

Therefore, for the Hyundai Starex or N1, I categorically do not recommend the Nordman 7. For other front-wheel drive or four-wheel drive vehicles, it may be fine, people in reviews write well about it. The braking and directional stability of this tire, in my opinion, are not bad, 4 out of 5. But the traction from a standstill on rear-wheel drive is poor... This is still with my LD bridge with a differential lock, and there are cars without it, so it's probably even worse. In general, I found and bought a used Dunlop, like I had before (a new one was very expensive, and now I just can't find it), and I sold the set of Nordman 7 after 1 season. Maybe my review will be useful to someone.

The tires are good, but there is one significant drawback: the aluminum stud body is eaten away by winter road chemistry in 2-3 years, the upper part of the stud comes out, and the lower part remains in place. To install a spare, it needs to be dug out: a hell of a job.

Guys, this tire has 6 seasons, in the spring when changing tires, the tire shop workers said that all the studs are in place, the condition is very good, they can still serve.

I was very afraid to buy these tires, mainly guided by customer reviews, and in this case, I didn't fail. The rubber is good. I don't own technical language to describe all parameters, but I move confidently, steadily, and softly on our Moscow uncleared roads. I drove my car to the country house, where there are snowdrifts, there were no problems, they pull out easily from any snowdrift. I recommend and agree with all positive reviews.

In general, it behaves excellently. Soft, pleasant.

Handles the road perfectly, goes through deep snow like a tank during snowfalls. A bit too soft, but adds comfort. At a speed of 60 - 80, there's no difference, whether it's asphalt or snow, the directional stability is excellent, don't drive faster in winter.

I'm satisfied with the purchase, the tires perform well under any road, driving and weather conditions. I live in Siberia. I recommend them.
