Winter has barely started, but 18cm of snow, ice, and wet asphalt with "rut" already was. Soft, quiet tire, at the proper speed, no issues whatsoever.

Studded tires in size 235 85 16 were needed. I was choosing between Nexen and Kumho, there were no other options. I decided on Nexen. In principle, they are normal tires. They handle snow well and hold the road normally. My previous tires were Cooper 265 75 16, it was harder to change lanes on an uncleared highway with them. There were concerns that due to the high profile, they would break in turns, but that's not the case. On ice, you need to be more careful, but that's the case with all tires. I didn't try to drive on rough terrain, because the car is for bad roads, not for off-road, so I can't say anything about that.

I chose these tires after a long consideration because there are no studded tires available in the original size for my vehicle. I've driven them for one season, and here are my impressions:

Among the advantages, the tires have a medium hardness, I drive a lot, mostly in the city, and the ride is comfortable. There is some noise from the studs, but it's almost inaudible. The handling, braking, and performance on both asphalt and snow are excellent. After the first winter, I've lost only a couple of studs. I hope the tires won't deteriorate in quality over time.

Great tires, soft, quiet. Driving on them on asphalt is like driving on summer tires. The tread pattern is excellent. I was advised to buy them by an acquaintance who is a tire specialist, and I don't regret the purchase

Nexen Winguard Spike SUV 235/65 R17 108T XL I've driven for 4 seasons. The tires are simply excellent. Now I'm replacing them with new ones, but the old ones still have 7 mm of tread left and I've already sold them at a profit. I recommend them.

As they say, prepare your sleds in the summer. I ordered online, the price was at the lower end of the market. The wheels were assembled, balanced. Smart guys, they know their business.

Took in the size 265/75 R16. For the Patriot, the tires justified themselves by 146% - they can drive much faster than the Patriot itself. The only coverage that was uncomfortable was ice sprinkled with wet snow. It brakes worse than you subjectively expect. But still predictable. Would take again on any heavy ship that is designed for high-profile tires (if, of course, Nexen does not get arrogant and does not try to set prices at the top of the market).

Good quality tires for their price. They handle snow well, and hold up well on ice. They are a bit noisy, and become stiff in very cold temperatures - 30-35 degrees. Rating 4.3
