I bought these tires only because I didn't have the money for more expensive ones. I have 3.5 years of experience in the tire business, so I know what I'm talking about now.

For their price, the tires are great. They don't make much noise (possibly due to the car's sound insulation). On dry asphalt, they perform excellently. The stated speed index is up to 160 km/h, but in reality, they maintain handling up to 175 km/h on dry asphalt. Snow is a bit challenging for them, but with four-wheel drive, they can even get out of 35 cm deep snowdrifts. Ice - any tire struggles on ice, and anyone who says otherwise is lying, so for the price, they behave well on ice at 60-80 km/h. On wet roads, they slightly pull the car when braking. But that's what our brains are for, to not drive recklessly.

In general, the tires exceeded all my expectations. They have more comfort and driving qualities than stated by the manufacturer. If you're on a tight budget and you're confident in your ability to control yourself while driving, you can buy these tires without hesitation. Just remember that they're BUDGET TIRES, so don't expect anything extreme from them.

I've been driving on tires from this manufacturer for many years, previously using their earlier models and those with the "Sport" prefix, which have a more "aggressive" tread pattern. So, about this tire model: at first, after installing the tires, I had the feeling that the car was floating rather than rolling, with minimal grip on the road. Braking was like on ice. However, after about 100 km, the tires "settled in" and revealed their advantages. It was clear that the tires are quiet (they are non-studded, and all previous tire models I've used were also quiet). They handle well on rough roads, which can be found in Moscow, and even on pure ice, as long as you drive carefully. On slushy roads with reagent, as well as on frosty roads with reagent (the kind that covers the road surface with a film), there can be some slight slipping, but it's manageable, even at high speeds. The only thing the tires don't "like" is sudden braking - they lose traction quickly. Smooth braking is your friend. I recommend purchasing these tires, especially considering their relatively low price.

A complete copy of Dunlop SJ8 WinterMax and expectedly quite decent tires! Winters are mostly dry here, with black ice present.
