Tyre reviews Nexen Winguard Ice SUV. Page 6 167

Excellent tires for a reasonable price. For the first time in almost 30 years of driving experience, I bought friction tires. Previously, in the winter, I drove sedans with studded Nokian Hakkapeliitta, Gislaved, and the latest on a front-wheel drive crossover Bridgestone. I didn't notice any difference between studded and friction tires in terms of car handling in various conditions, and in terms of noise comfort, there's no comparison - they're quiet, soft, and don't get stiff in the cold (haven't been below -23°C yet). I drive 50/50 city/highway. They're not suitable for speed lovers, but for a reasonable driver, they're just right! I recommend!

Generally, expectations were not met. Bought these tires for the first time. Noiseless, slush, snow - handle fine. Rarely gets A/B/S. But on ice, a 0. Completely useless.

First impression - very soft tires, after the summer tires felt like foam handling. At speeds over 80 they start to wander. Overall, the tire is quite good for positioning as an inexpensive urban tire. On ice and deep wet road it starts to float (but this is a definition for any tire in such conditions). Didn't like the fact that due to the softness they do not hold the trajectory (float), you have to constantly adjust the speed. Thought to use all-year round, but

Drove two seasons, hold the road well. Freezing and slushy snow they get stuck at once. Cracked inside.

This run is short, recently installed on another car the same Roadston, and it is quite satisfactory, the most important thing is to remember when driving the vehicle, to engage your brain.

A very high-quality and good tire. Excellent traction on snow and decent on ice. Also very quiet driving. There is a slight vibration in the track, but just a slight one. The ride is very comfortable. I did not notice aquaplaning, but speed when driving through puddles was not above 90 km/h.

Very soft and comfortable tire. Quite budget-friendly, I think it will meet expectations. The mileage is small, on dry roads in positive temperatures, so I'm making some conclusions a bit early. At 500 km the tread hasn't worn off yet. It looks quite neat on the car. It's seated properly on the rim. I recommend.
