The balancing process went quickly, the masters did not swear. On one wheel, weights were not even required. As for the driving experience, everything is simple: snow and ice are handled well, the spikes are still all in place, although they click loudly on the asphalt. But this is winter tires - it's familiar.

Last winter I had to drive a lot on these tires. For the hours I spent driving, I can say one thing - I was comfortable. The studs worked as they should. A few studs came out at the end of the season, but that's because I didn't change them for a long time and continued to drive in plus temperatures.

Don't even think about buying this contraption from the worst Cordiant factory - after the winter, 20% of the studs on the front tires are missing, and this is with very careful handling, with tire run-in, smooth starts, and so on... Moreover, the missing studs were not noticed during the winter. Also, there is a lack of confidence when driving on an icy road, when turning (turning exits/entries through overpasses - for example, from Yaroslavka to the Moscow Ring Road), in addition, when exiting a roundabout - into it, or onto a T-intersection with a snowy mess and ice underneath (at -15 to -20 degrees) - the car doesn't move to the far left lane as intended, but to the second lane from the left - it skids and nothing can be done (speed 8-10 km/h). I'll get rid of them in the summer and look for a replacement.

I bought these tires because I used Continental icecontact 2, the manufacturer positions this tire as icecontact 2 with the same tread pattern but different studs, and it's manufactured at the same Tolyatti factory, now under the control of Cordiant. Now, about the tire, there's a problem: at a mileage of 500 km during the run-in period of the tires, without exceeding 60 km/h, without sharp acceleration, braking, or lane changes, the studs started coming out, and not just one! Before buying this tire, think about whether you need expensive, and it's really not cheap, winter tires for just one season? The representative of this wonderful factory offers only to send the tires for examination, which is practically a month of not using the car, and such an opportunity, I think, is not available to everyone. In general, the quality of these tires is very low. They are not worth the money they are asking for!

Bought for two identical cars. The first car has a mileage of about 2500 km on these tires, with 40% of the studs missing on the front wheels. The second car, I ran in myself. I drove smoothly into turns, carefully, without high speeds. Mileage 800 km. By 400 km, the studs on the front wheels began to come out. Currently, there are already 30 studs missing on each tire. Otherwise, the tires are not bad, quite comfortable, but the studs will come out in one season. NOT RECOMMENDED.

For the C3, this is the second set of Gislaved winter tires. I used to drive on Nord Frost 200, and last autumn I switched to IceControl.

On asphalt, they were a bit noisy at first, but after a couple of hundred kilometers, the noise decreased. Apparently, the running-in period has passed. In the city, they drive perfectly on snow, and when accelerating, they don't slip. On ice, the studs hold confidently, especially when braking.

On the highway at 100 km/h, it's comfortable, even with strong side wind, the car stays stable. However, on dry asphalt at positive temperatures, a slight hum appears. But I haven't noticed any loss of studs during the season. They look like new ones.

I decided to try Gislaved IceControl last autumn. Before that, I was driving on non-studded tires, but I was not satisfied with the brakes on morning ice.
These tires are grippy. On packed snow, they brake smoothly, on ice they don't slide, although I keep a reasonable speed. There was not a single unexpected skid - although I drove both in the city in traffic jams and on the highway on weekends. The noise level is surprisingly moderate, although with studded tires you always expect a "rumble". But in the cabin, it doesn't annoy - even when driving with children.
The grip is confident. Once I had to brake sharply at an intersection - they worked clearly, the ABS did not panic. The car does not "float" in turns, the directional stability at speed is confidently maintained.

    Reliable winter tires!
Last season I installed Gislaved IceControl on my Nissan X-Trail, and they pleasantly surprised me! Despite the fact that the brand is not as widely advertised as some others, the quality is top-notch.
Excellent grip on ice. I often drive out of town, and the roads are not always well cleaned, but the car behaves confidently. Start, braking – everything is predictable.
They handle well on rolled snow, don't skid – on loose snow, they confidently pull out of a rut.
They're quiet for studded tires. I expected them to be noisy, but the sound turned out to be quite comfortable, especially on the highway.
Over the season, I had no complaints – the tread wore out minimally, the studs are in place. For those who are looking for reliable winter tires at a reasonable price, I recommend!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING. The tires are new, 2025 model, the car is 4wd, new disks, wheel alignment has been done. After 1000 km of careful running-in, 30% of the studs on all wheels have fallen out. The core itself breaks off, the rim remains. I'm afraid that by the end of the season, all the studs will break off.
