The Yokohama Bluearth*Winter V906 winter tire is designed for regions with so-called "warm" winters. It is characterized by improved traction on snow and wet surfaces, directional stability at high speeds, ease of handling, smooth ride, low noise level, and the "signature" fuel efficiency and long service life of tires in this line.
The tread pattern is distinguished by a large number of V-shaped arranged blocks and curved groove shapes. This feature significantly enhances the tire's ability to expel not only water but also a heavy mixture of water and snow from under the tire, maintaining reliable traction in adverse weather conditions.
The central part of the tread contains a large number of small blocks distributed in groups, in turn, arranged in a "chessboard" order. This solution improves directional stability and handling, reduces rolling resistance and noise, and prevents rapid wear of the tire's tread. The shoulder blocks have an elongated shape, which on the one hand increases stability and precision when maneuvering, and on the other hand provides high traction and braking intensity, especially on snow and wet surfaces. The "three-dimensional" lamellas with sharpened saw-tooth edges enhance these properties on the most slippery surfaces.
In the production of the tread, a rubber compound with an increased "silica" content is used. The Advanced Reaction Technology mixing technology is used, which provides high uniformity of the compound, further enhancing the interaction and effectiveness of all components in the rubber compound. The result of these "tricks" is a significant improvement in traction properties on any slippery and cold surfaces.
