Ultimately, the application of several thousand three-dimensional lamellas allows for the complete compensation of the absence of studs, giving the tire more than confident behavior on ice.
Instant water and slush removal from the contact patch
This model stands out favorably due to its excellent stability, both against aquaplaning and slushplaning. This feature is due to the presence of a developed drainage system, in which four longitudinal grooves are supplemented by two so-called "half-grooves", formed due to the composite structure of the tread blocks of the center tread. Additionally, the tread of this tire has a large number of transverse grooves. A significant part of them is distinguished by an impressive internal volume, which allows them to effectively cope with the cleaning of the contact patch from both water and heavy snow masses.
Special V-shaped grooves in the shoulder areas
The open design of the shoulder areas of the tread of this tire is characterized by the presence of a large number of individual elements, which significantly expand their functionality. One of them is special V-shaped grooves located transversely. During movement, these miniature tread elements create a so-called "edge effect", thanks to which the tire is given additional stability and grip when maneuvering and turning, especially on slippery roads with snow and ice. In this regard, it is worth noting the significant width of the blocks of the shoulder areas. Their massive size and transverse arrangement not only improve grip during maneuvering but also increase the effectiveness of the tread during braking, significantly reducing the braking distance.
Productive compound at strong frosts
The tread of this model is distinguished by an extended temperature range. Even at strong frosts, it remains sufficiently elastic to provide stable and reliable grip on winter roads. This property is ensured by a rubber mixture consisting of more than half of silica. In addition to elasticity, this component increases the resistance of the tread to any type of wear, which significantly increases its service life.
