The same X-shaped lamellae, when in contact with the road, form numerous edges of adhesion, and also dry the contact patch, improving the stability of the Michelin Pilot Road 4 GT tire when driving on wet roads. When braking, these tread elements increase the coupling properties when braking.
Tread with a profile of varying curvature
Another advanced technology that has found application in this model is computer modeling technologies. With their help, such a profile shape was selected that allowed neutralizing the effect of the significant weight of large touring motorcycles.
