The Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa V3 motorcycle tire is designed for the most powerful and dynamic versions of sports bikes. Developed using technologies for WSBK championship tires, it stands out for its exceptional high-speed efficiency.
Optimized tread profile
This model is available in two versions - for the front and rear wheels. In both cases, the tread profile is exactly the same as that of the WBS road-racing championship tires. It has allowed increasing the contact patch and maintaining its configuration over a very wide range of motorcycle lean angles. Along with the stiffness of the carcass and the grip of the rubber compound, this enables very effective realization of traction effort and control of the trajectory when cornering.
Two compounds
A distinctive feature of the rear tire is the use of a 2-component rubber compound. The central part of the tread is made of a harder compound, which increases stability during straight-line driving. When cornering, the shoulder areas come into contact with the road surface, which are made of an elastic compound that increases grip and provides better feedback.
"Semi-slick"
In both versions, the tire is practically devoid of a tread pattern. It is formed by a small number of drainage grooves, the width of which has been reduced compared to the previous model. This has allowed increasing the stability of the grip properties and reducing uneven wear.
Main features:
- a tread profile "borrowed" from WSBK championship racing tires;
- a 2-component compound for the rear tire improves grip when cornering;
- a tread pattern with narrow drainage grooves provides stability of grip properties and reduces wear.
