The Metzeler Roadtec 01 HWM motorcycle tire is designed for touring bikes with large displacement engines. Increased contact patch
Both the front and rear tires feature a tread with an increased width. This feature provides a larger contact patch, which achieves increased traction, especially when changing direction frequently. At the same time, the rectangular shape and transverse arrangement of the contact surface reduce tread wear, which in turn provides the tire with a long service life.
Optimized compound
The tire's tread is made from a rubber compound whose composition has been optimized based on the characteristics of modern touring bikes. It has a pronounced resistance to uneven and abrasive wear, as well as the ability to closely fit even the smallest irregularities of the road surface, even at low temperatures. Thanks to this, the tire demonstrates both a long service life and improved traction on wet roads.
