The Metzeler Roadtec 01 SE motorcycle tire is designed for sports touring bikes. It is characterized by ease of handling, stability of grip on wet surfaces, and a long service life.
The tread pattern is distinguished by the presence of V-shaped drainage grooves. They prevent the occurrence of hydroplaning, reduce the length of the braking distance, and increase the effectiveness of the ABS system. The tread profile has a special shape that not only increases the contact patch but also maintains its size even at significant bike lean angles. The tread areas near the sidewalls are solid, which further increases grip during aggressive cornering. The use of a compound based on "silica" and natural rubber is applied. This largely explains the tire's grip even on cold asphalt.
