Mini Hardtop is a line of compact passenger cars in the "supermini" category, consisting of hatchbacks and convertibles. The gear ratio in the steering is preserved unchanged, which gives this car a special character in motion. In the initial version, it is equipped with an electric motor with a power of 184 liters. s. and a torque of 230 Nm, a traction battery with a capacity of 40.7 kWh, which allows you to overcome up to 305 km on a single charge and accelerate to "hundred" in 7.3 seconds. The more sports version, developing 218 liters. s. and 330 Nm, is much more different from the increased capacity of the battery and the range — 54.2 kWh and 402 km, as well as the ability to receive a charge of constant current with a power of up to 95 kW.

The next difference from the predecessor was the design, made in a new style for the car — Charismatic Simplicity. It is characterized by minimalism, accompanied by a refusal from chrome elements and almost all decor, from which only the frame surrounding the area where the radiator grille was previously located has remained. Instead, it is planned to attract attention through lighting effects using different patterns of rear lights and headlights, as well as animation that is activated when unlocking and closing the car. A similar approach is demonstrated in the salon, which has lost not only most of the buttons, but also the instrument cluster. The front panel contains a round tablet with a diameter of 240 mm, in the upper part of which virtual instruments are displayed. For an additional fee, their readings can be displayed through a projection display on the windshield. The rest is reserved for the Mini OS operating system with a voice assistant — an animated British bulldog named Spike.

Gasoline Hardtop

The fifth-generation car with an internal combustion engine was presented in the fall of 2023. Unlike the electric version, it is a modified version of the predecessor, using the same platform, body power frame, chassis, as well as engine range, without any hybrid power plants. In the base version, the hatchback is equipped with an in-line "trio" with a volume of 1.5 liters and a power of 156 liters. s. The more sports modification S offers a 204-horsepower 2-liter turbo engine. Both power units are combined only with a 7-speed robotic gearbox. At the same time, the drive is only on the front axle.

The use of the predecessor's platform and body frame has left a characteristic "imprint" on the car's exterior.
