The compact crossover Geely Boyue has been present in the production lineup of the Chinese brand since 2016. In technical terms, the car was distinguished by a fairly numerous engine range. The base versions had a 2-liter "atmospheric" gasoline engine with a capacity of 141 horsepower under the hood. As an alternative to it, a turbocharged power unit with a volume of 1.8 liters and a power of 163 horsepower was offered. These engines were combined only with a 6-speed manual transmission. The possibility of getting an "automatic" appeared when ordering the top version with the same 1.8-liter engine, but in a more powerful version - 184 horsepower. Such a modification could be not only with front-wheel drive, but also with all-wheel drive, which was done for the first time in the history of the Chinese brand.After a series of minor updates, in 2022 the car underwent a fairly large-scale modernization. Most of the innovations affected the exterior and equipment. The updated crossover was distinguished by a different front bumper and radiator grille with vertical rails and chrome plating, as well as LED headlights from the Pro version. The cabin differs in an increased up to 10.25-inch wide-format display of the multimedia system, as well as front seats with a more ergonomic profile.
