Under the hood is a synchronous electric motor, developing 163 hp. and 250 Nm of torque. The transmission of traction is carried out on the front wheels through a 1-stage reducer, which is typical for electric vehicles. The battery has a capacity of 52 kWh, providing a range of up to 400 km. In real conditions, the indicator is lower, however, for urban use, it is enough. Fast charging is supported, which allows replenishing a significant part of the capacity in a short time. Compared to Emgrand GS, the electric version differs in instantaneous torque and more smooth acceleration. The absence of a classic gearbox simplifies control and reduces noise levels.

Ride quality and chassis adaptation

The transition to electric traction required a reconfiguration of the suspension. The increased mass associated with the battery is compensated by more rigid springs and shock absorbers. This allowed preserving stability during movement, although on unevenness, the stiffness is felt more strongly. The low center of gravity has a positive effect on handling, reducing rolls in turns. The steering remained oriented towards comfort, which corresponds to the urban character of the model. The braking system is supplemented with a recuperation mode, allowing partial energy recovery during deceleration.
