Шины на Chrysler Grand Caravan (Крайслер)
The Chrysler Grand Caravan debuted in the North American brand's production lineup in May 1987, lasting on the assembly line until 2020. All this time, the car represented an extended version of the same-named minivan.First Generation
Appearing in 1987, it differed exclusively in the distance between the axles, which was increased from 2847 to 3025 mm. Due to the relatively short rear overhang, most of the additional space went to the trunk and passengers of the "gallery". Like the standard version, the car was offered with a 2- and 3-row layout with specific features, such as the ability to remove seats located behind the central pillar. Due to the increased size and weight, the car was available with more powerful power units than the standard version, in particular, with a turbocharged 2.5-liter gasoline engine, along with a 3.3-liter V6. All engines were combined with a 4-speed automatic transmission.Second Generation
The next generation of the car was presented in 1991. Essentially, it was a large-scale modernization of the predecessor, from which, in particular, the front and sliding doors were taken. The front part underwent a major revision to improve the aerodynamics of the minivan and make it distinct from the original Chrysler Voyager. As a result, the car received a different radiator grille and headlight headlights, losing almost all chrome decor. In addition, only the base version was 5-seater, all other trim levels were "by default" designed for up to 7 passengers. Under the hood were engines from the previous model, starting from the 3.3-liter V6 developed by Chrysler with a capacity of 150 liters. s. An optional 3.8-liter V6 from Chrysler Imperial was also available.Third Generation
In 1995, sales of the next generation began. It significantly increased in dimensions, moving to the Chrysler NS platform, which was initially intended not for passenger cars, but for minivans. The key external difference was the drop-shaped body profile with the windshield and front console shifted as far forward as possible. To provide access to the engine compartment, the hood with windshield wipers was made removable. From the standard version, the car still differed in the increased distance between the axles, which was 3030 mm. The car retained the suspension of the predecessor, using "MacPherson" struts in the front and a bridge with leaf springs in the back. All versions of the car were equipped with a 3.8-liter V6 gasoline engine, developing 166 liters. s., and after the 1998 update - 180 liters. s. The power unit was combined with a 4-speed Ultradrive transmission.Fourth Generation
The car of the next generation debuted in 2000. It used a modified platform of the predecessor with the RS index, which again increased the dimensions, but left the wheelbase unchanged, as before, at 3030 mm. Minor changes were made to the body design, which were reduced to installing larger headlights and rear lights, as well as a massive radiator grille with a proprietary "cross" painted in the body color. The list of standard equipment has significantly expanded, which included electric adjustments of rear-view mirrors, access to the salon without a key, entrance lighting, front electric windows. Top versions offered a 3-zone climate control system, fog lights, electric sliding door drive, remote garage door opening, Infinity audio system.Fifth Generation
The minivan of the fifth iteration was presented in 2007. It remained the only model in the Caravan lineup, as the version with a standard wheelbase was discontinued, instead, the Journey crossover of similar size was offered. The extended version "inherited" almost the entire range of engines. Basic modifications were now equipped with a 3.3-liter gasoline V6 with a capacity of 175 liters. s., which worked in tandem with a 4-speed automatic transmission. A diesel version with a 2.8-liter inline "four" from VM Motori, developing 161 liters. s., which was combined with a 6-speed "automatic", became available. This transmission was also used together with two other power units - 3.8- and 4-liter V6, developing 197 and 251 liters. s. respectively. The car was available in three trim levels. In the top versions, electric drives of sliding doors on both sides, rearview mirrors with heating and electric adjustments, electric windows of all doors, a device for remote opening of garage doors, music with a 20-gigabyte storage and 6 speakers, as well as 17-inch alloy wheels were available. Such models are widely represented in the online store "Mosavtoshina".
