I never used snow chains before, but I decided to try them out. And also on the advice of a consultant, I decided to give it a go. I bought and installed them on my Vittara. As long as there was snow, everything was more or less controllable and expected. But when everything froze over... I couldn't control the car at all, it was my first time experiencing this... it was simply impossible to control the car normally. If you accelerate a bit, the car goes into a skid. You can only move thanks to the four-wheel drive. The rear wheels alone are useless.
I bought Triangle snow chains for my wife, and at first impression, they behave more controllably and make sense compared to Ikon. Don't be fooled.

I'll tell you about this tire, having driven through 4 seasons. I bought the tire in 2020, size 205 60 r16, the price was 14,000 ₽ for 4 wheels, yes, those were the prices back then))) Now, about the tires themselves. I live in Crimea, the winters are not harsh, but the weather can change dramatically throughout the day, the tire behaves well in all conditions, on dry roads it's excellent, minimal noise, in the rain at a reasonable speed it's also good, we won't consider road rutting, as it doesn't like it, starts to jump out. In the snow, it's simply excellent, I drove up to Ai-Petri in a snowstorm, front-wheel drive, that's where a Niva with full-wheel drive and bare mud tires was barely making it, had to stop and let the Niva gain speed, I had no problems getting up, braking on snow is decent, you can feel the tire gripping. On ice, it's like all friction tires, I noticed one minus, lateral skidding, which is especially noticeable on ice, but since there's not much ice in Crimea. As for recommending this tire or not, I think it's worth taking a closer look at it.

Picture of Nokian Hakapeliitta R. They hold well. But Hakapeliitta R is more confident on ice.
