Tyre reviews Cordiant Sno-Max. Page 4 296

Tires are very controversial. Plus: relatively cheap, quiet, high abrasion resistance, snow plows like a tank, but there is one heavy minus that negates all the pluses – the behavior on ice, skates and only. This winter I changed to Michelin X Ice2, feeling earth and sky.

I'm satisfied with the tires. Already in the 4th season I've driven 10-15 thousand kilometers per season (I mount them on November 1st and they reach a stable +5 C by the end of the season) and I've driven on clean asphalt, on ice, and on snow. The traction is good. When braking with the wheels locked on ice and compacted snow, it holds its course stably and doesn't spin out.

I'm not satisfied with the tire.
It accelerates poorly, and the car vibrates. For the first 500 km, I thought I would have to replace it because the car was swaying. (It would sway to the left, then to the right), but after that it stabilized. You can say that the tire barely makes any noise with the studs. The braking is also mediocre; I even thought about disconnecting the ABS. Maybe the poor braking and acceleration are due to

The tire is very good on snow - saved me a few times. Got out of big snowdrifts! It brakes well, but accelerates a bit (the front end wobbles on the road). All studs are still in place. It behaves predictably on ice. On a wet road, it has good water evacuation. A bit noisy, but it doesn't bother me. Overall, I'm happy with the tire, and for the price, I think it's unbeatable.

I've got two sizes of SNO-MAX, R16 on Nissan and R15 on Peugeot. The tire is good, it just makes a bit of noise in the first 1000 km, then it's almost silent, but that's on Nissan. When I have it on Peugeot, the noise didn't disappear after 4000 km. It also handles well in snow and rain, but I haven't tried it on ice yet. The tread wears out much faster than P

A fairly good tire for the price, very stable on ice and a wet road. Driving through snowdrifts is basically no problem. However, the sidewall is too "delicate". As a result, there are punctures when hitting potholes, which are plenty on our roads. The price-quality ratio is acceptable overall.

It digs itself out of snow well. I drove on the rim where the Lada simply must not drive. The studs are not more than a dozen over 4 years of operation. Soft. Good. But there are two minuses - it constantly veers, scurries over asphalt shamelessly as over a sponge, but you get used to it. If you don't ride hard, it's perfectly fine. It confidently drives on deep snow, but no more than 60 km/h further

2 sets of snowmaks.
Shoe comment:
1. Noise. In fact, it was quieter on the ten than on the Focus. After 4-6 thousand it becomes softer and quieter.
2. Crosswise stability on ice. The ten was drifting on the nose, the Focus was skidding. By the way, the start of the skid on the Focus is not felt at all, because the suspension is steerable and you get used to the- Vehicle:

I have put over 42,000 km on the tyres in 3 years on a BMW M3 first generation (I specified another model as my own is not available) and they still have plenty of life left. The only time they lost traction was once in a snow bank, and I didn’t experience any issues on the road either on ice or in wet snow. However, I did lose 10 treads on the rear wheels due to a seized rear differential at 150 km/h.

Ran 3 seasons on Kalin' hatchback, absolutely delighted like a cat with a saucer of cream - soft, grippy, and stable. Sold the Kalina, bought a Lada and as usual bought a Cordiant Sno-Max. Consider it to be the best price vs. quality ratio!
