Tyres Starmaxx

Tires under the Starmaxx brand are produced by the Turkish company Petlas. Its establishment in 1976 was a response by Turkey to the trade embargo imposed on it after the military operation in Cyprus in 1974. The built-from-scratch enterprise was engaged in the production of tires for the Turkish Air Force's fighter jets. In 1997, it was privatized. Once in private hands, the company expanded its product range over the course of 10 years, mainly through the production of tires for agricultural equipment, which accounted for 85% of its output by 2007. A year later, the enterprise began producing summer and winter tires for passenger cars, with an immediately extensive range - over 100 sizes for wheels with diameters from 13 to 16 inches. In 2011, the manufacturer introduced models for all-wheel drive passenger cars - crossovers, SUVs, pickups, and light trucks.

Since its inception, the Turkish company has had all the necessary resources to create tire products from scratch, including a research and development department. This independence has given it the ability not only to produce competitive products but also to constantly find solutions to reduce their cost. The result of this approach has been the emergence of a number of distinctive features inherent in Starmaxx tires, including the combination of attractive pricing with reliability, high mileage, and excellent driving characteristics for its class.
