Starmaxx Ultrasport ST740

The Starmaxx Ultrasport ST740 summer tire is designed for the most dynamic versions of compact passenger cars. It features improved driving qualities at high speeds. These qualities are almost completely preserved on wet surfaces, where this model demonstrates a low tendency to aquaplaning and course stability during maneuvering.

The tread pattern is designed in an asymmetric design, with elements distributed across several functional areas. The dual longitudinal rib located closer to the inner side is made solid and massive. This improves course stability, giving the tire's response to maneuvering speed and accuracy. The "halves" of the rib are separated by a very wide drainage groove, which significantly reduces the risk of aquaplaning. Its wavy walls further improve course stability and acoustic comfort. The shoulder areas contain narrow, massive blocks. During maneuvering, this design allows the tire to maintain high stability, and when braking and accelerating - stability of traction properties, especially on wet surfaces.
