Starmaxx PolarMaxx SPORT – a winter tire from a Turkish manufacturer, the scope of which includes various passenger cars, including mid-size sedans, wagons, as well as SUVs and crossovers. The model provides a high level of grip with icy and snowy road surfaces, maintaining control over the vehicle.

The tire was developed taking into account modern requirements. For this, advanced modeling technologies were used, which made it possible to optimize the working characteristics, significantly increasing their effectiveness. The non-directional tread with pronounced asymmetry has a wide rib in the central part with deep side semi-channels. It forms the basis of the contact patch, which was expanded due to the shoulder zones. Such a structure, in combination with a large number of lamellas that densely cover all elements, forms a multitude of engaging edges. The latter improve traction efforts on a slippery surface, as well as reduce the braking distance, making driving on a winter road safer.

The presence of an open-type drainage system increases resistance to hydroplaning, as well as slaloming. At the same time, the speed of cleaning the contact zone is achieved, which has a positive effect on the acceleration-braking characteristics.
An important factor is also the compound, which contains many synthetic additives that adapt it to low temperatures. Thanks to this, an optimal level of elasticity is maintained, which directly affects the effectiveness of the coupling properties. Also, additives in the rubber mixture affected the resistance to wear, increasing the mileage with full preservation of working properties.
