The Starmaxx IceGripper W850 winter tire fits almost any popular passenger car today. The model is available in more than fifty sizes with diameters from 14 to 19 inches. A significant portion of the options are offered in the RunFlat version. In motion, it is characterized by confident behavior on any winter surface, and on bad roads - reliability, wear resistance, and a smooth ride.
The tread part of the tire is made from a rubber compound obtained using FST technology. Its composition is half represented by fine particles of silicon dioxide. As a result, the tread retains its elasticity at extremely low temperatures, providing reliable traction on any winter surface. Another feature is the "hybrid" design of the breaker. It contains both a steel cord and a synthetic cord made of nylon located on top. The spiral winding additionally increases the rigidity of this component, which gives the traction properties stability, reduces wear, and provides the tire with a smooth ride. The sidewall features a ring with a solid ball-shaped filler in its internal cavity. This reduces the risk of lateral skidding when maneuvering at high speed and further improves the smoothness of the ride.
