Pirelli Cinturato C3 – a novelty from the renowned Italian manufacturer, aimed at owners of medium-sized passenger cars who value quality and reliability. The company's engineers have carefully redesigned the main components of the tire. Thus, the composition of the compound includes new additives that have reduced rolling resistance, making the model more environmentally friendly. This aspect is especially important when operating vehicles in urban conditions. The carcass has also been refined, becoming more rigid and, at the same time, lighter. This has improved vehicle handling at various speed ranges and optimized fuel costs. The tread pattern has also undergone changes, now featuring three medium-sized longitudinal elements in the central zone. Supplemented with unidirectional notches, they provide a high level of directional stability and optimize handling at high speeds. Additionally, the sidewalls have increased strength, which neutralizes the deformation effect, contributing to the stability of the vehicle during maneuvers.
It is worth noting the improved noise reduction performance, which was achieved through a special arrangement of block structures. Due to the reduction of air turbulence, the comfort level has increased significantly, including when driving at high speeds.
Among the significant innovations, it is possible to note a shortened braking distance on wet asphalt by 8%. This was achieved by increasing the number of gripping edges and including special additives in the rubber mixture.
Environmental factor
The manufacturer has paid special attention to the environmental component of the tire. Thus, during its production, recycled raw materials were used, and the process itself became less energy-intensive. Along with this, the compound composition uses more harmless components. And the minimization of rolling resistance has had a positive impact on fuel economy, ensuring a reduction in consumption of up to 0.3 l/100 km.
