Ceat SportDrive SUV – a summer tire from an Indian manufacturer. It is designed to be installed on a range of crossovers and SUVs, as well as some minivans. It is characterized by a wide contact patch, which provides reliable traction and stability during maneuvering.
The tread base consists of an asymmetric non-directional structure, which is formed by three central ribs and wide shoulder areas. Each of these elements has notches and grooves with different directions. This has improved traction, including on wet roads. The presence of sufficiently deep ring-shaped channels ensures rapid water collection in the contact area. This maintains the durability of the tire's fixation to the road surface.
Among the features, a high-strength carcass can be highlighted, which is represented by a multi-layer structure. It uses both synthetic and natural materials, providing a high level of elasticity and resilience. Therefore, the tire is not afraid of increased loads, maintaining its integrity and supporting the initial shape of the contact patch.
A special rubber compound is used here, supplemented by a number of synthetic components. This has reduced the intensity of wear and increased the mileage.
Key features of Ceat SportDrive SUV
- installation on crossovers, SUVs, and some minivans during the summer season;
- steering precision, achieved due to the pronounced rib structure of the tread in the central zone of the tire;
- minimization of lateral and longitudinal displacements due to differently directed grooves, forming additional gripping edges;
- an effective drainage system, able to minimize the risk of the occurrence of such an effect as aquaplaning
