The summer tire Yokohama Geolandar X-CV G057 is installed on compact and medium-sized crossovers. It is adapted for operation on asphalt roads, where it demonstrates high stability, acoustic comfort, and a long service life.

The tread pattern is made in an asymmetric directional design with an increased number of elements for tires in this category. All blocks are reduced in size, and the structure of their arrangement increases the area of the zone constantly in contact with the road surface. Along with the optimized profile of the tread, this significantly improves traction properties on dry pavement and their stability when maneuvering.

The tread is equipped with both conventional lamellas and their "three-dimensional" analogs. Such a combination improves several important driving qualities of the tire. First of all, this is stability on wet pavement. The edges formed by the numerous cuts allow the tire to better grip the slippery surface. In addition, the direct lamellas provide the blocks with additional elasticity, which reduces the level of abrasive impact on the tread, thereby increasing its resistance to wear.

Another feature of the tread pattern design is the increased width of the longitudinal drainage grooves in the central part. Their capacities are more than enough to divert almost any amount of water from under the contact patch with invariably high intensity, reducing the risk of aquaplaning to a minimum. At the same time, the high and encircling longitudinal edges of the tread provide excellent directional stability.

The tread pattern has a 5-stage arrangement of elements. This practically completely blocks the occurrence and passage of low-frequency sound waves through the tire. As a result, the acoustic comfort is improved, especially when driving on asphalt roads of poor quality.

The tread is made from a rubber compound based on highly dispersed silica. The smallest particles of silicon dioxide simultaneously increase both elasticity and strength against rupture and stretching. As a result, both traction on wet pavement and the durability of the tread against mechanical damage and abrasive wear are improved.
