The name of the Indian company CEAT is an abbreviation composed of the capital letters of the following phrase: Cavi Elettrici e Affini Torino. This manufacturer has its history dating back to 1927, when a plant for the production of electrical cables and similar products was established in Turin, Italy. In 1958, the business changed ownership and moved to Mumbai, India, where, with the support of the Tata Group, it was reprofiled to produce tire products of various purposes. In 1982, the company underwent another sale and purchase transaction, as a result of which it became owned by RPG Enterprises. The new owner renamed it CEAT Limited, under which it has successfully existed to this day.
Currently, the Indian company produces a wide range of diverse tire products. First and foremost, these are tires for light commercial vehicles, which are literally the "locomotive of sales". It is in this segment that the Indian manufacturer has managed to occupy the largest share on the local market - around 20%.
In addition to tires for light trucks, the company is actively engaged in the production of other tire products. And this is not only tires for motorcycles, passenger and commercial vehicles, but also for various special equipment, ranging from agricultural tractors to loaders.
As for the quality of the products produced, it is at a very high level. Evidence of this is the export supplies to more than 110 countries located in different parts of our planet. Moreover, it is impossible not to note the presence of numerous certificates in the company, confirming the highest level of production.
