The Continental ContiRoadAttack 2 Evo motorcycle tire is designed for touring bikes with pronounced sporty characteristics. It is characterized by improved traction on wet surfaces, a long service life, and stable handling when changing direction of movement
Tread with varying elasticity
One of the distinctive features of the tread is the presence of zones with different elasticity. I.e. when manufacturing, one compound is used. The change in curing temperature of the rubber mixture during production makes it possible to obtain areas with different levels of elasticity. The central part is the most rigid, which ensures directional stability and wear resistance. The shoulder areas are made elastic, which increases traction when the motorcycle is tilted.
Guaranteed integrity of the tread under extreme loads
This model has become one of the few where the TractionSkin technology is applied. The essence of the solution lies in the presence of tiny irregularities on the running part of the tread. They additionally strengthen the resistance to tearing and stretching, especially when driving at high speeds and under the influence of significant lateral acceleration forces.
Heat resistance
Even at high speeds, the tire demonstrates a low level of heating. This is largely due to the design of the carcass, the steel cord of which is located parallel to the direction of movement. This significantly reduces the weight of the tire and prevents it from heating up due to increased rolling resistance.
Key features of Continental ContiRoadAttack 2 Evo
- designed for powerful touring motorcycles;
- tread with variable elasticity provides reliable traction in any driving mode;
- small irregularities of the running part maintain the integrity of the tread at high speeds;
- lightweight carcass with a steel cord arranged at a "zero" angle prevents tire heating;
- the rubber compound is made using special silicon-containing components that allow the tires to literally stick to the road.
