Notably, the combination of Chinese financing and Swedish engineering played a positive role for each other. Volvo was able to update its model range, even introducing a new brand called Polestar, while the Chinese group received effective technologies that significantly improved the quality of Geely cars.

Volvo holds the Guinness record for the longest distance traveled by one car. This is the P1800 model, which was owned by one person from 1966 to 2008 and traveled over 5 million kilometers.
