Tires on Vauxhall Grandland X (Вауххалл)

Released in 2017, the Vauxhall Grandland X was the British version of the Opel namesake crossover, created during the integration of the PSA conglomerate into the European division of the Stellantis conglomerate. At the time of its sales launch, it was one of the most technologically advanced vehicles of the brand in the compact SUV segment, offering a combination of practicality, a large number of electronic systems, and economical gasoline engines with a turbine. At the same time, despite the technical connection with the Opel Grandland X, the British version received its own features in terms of equipment and positioning.

First Generation

The debut generation was created on the modular EMP2, which is widely used in the cars of the PSA conglomerate. The architecture made it possible to achieve an optimal combination of body stiffness and relatively low weight, which positively affected handling and fuel efficiency. The overall length of the car is 4477 mm, and the wheelbase is 2675 mm. Thanks to these parameters, the crossover offers a spacious salon and a capacious luggage compartment with a volume of 514 liters, which increases to 1652 liters when the second-row seats are folded.

The main differences between the Vauxhall Grandland X and the "Opel" version are related to the specific preferences of British car enthusiasts. In addition to the right-hand drive, the car received an original radiator grille design with the Griffin emblem, different trim levels, and specific multimedia system settings. Instead of German equipment levels, buyers were offered SE, Sport Nav, and Elite Nav versions.

The powertrain range included a 1.2-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with 130 hp, as well as a 1.6-liter engine with 180 hp. The diesel range consisted of 1.5 BlueHDi and 2.0 BlueHDi units. Depending on the version, a 6-speed manual transmission or an 8-speed automatic transmission was installed. Regardless of the version, the car offered front-wheel drive only. The lack of all-wheel drive was partly offset by the IntelliGrip system, which regulates the stability system and torque distribution between the wheels to improve traction on slippery surfaces.
Among the equipment, it is worth noting the matrix LED headlights, automatic emergency braking system, blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and ergonomic AGR seats with ventilation and massage functions.

Second Generation

In 2021, the car underwent a major update. The body design was revised in accordance with the new Vizor brand concept, which combines the elements of the front of the body into a single stylistic panel. Externally, it became more expressive thanks to new LED optics, a redesigned bumper, and changed graphics of the rear lights. The British version, as before, differs in its own design of emblems and some details of the exterior decor.

The interior received the Pure Panel architecture - a digital panel that combines the instrument cluster and multimedia system. The central screen has a diagonal of up to 10 inches, and the digital instrument cluster - up to 12 inches. The manufacturer retained physical buttons for controlling the climate system, which positively affects ergonomics. Also, the list of electronic assistants has been expanded. It includes a night vision system, an intelligent cruise control with a traffic jam function, a 360-degree camera system, and an improved lane-keeping assistant.

In technical terms, hybrid modifications appeared. The Hybrid version combines a 1.6-liter gasoline engine and an electric motor, and the Hybrid4 version is equipped with two electric motors and an all-wheel-drive system. The total power of the top version reaches 300 hp, making it one of the most dynamic in its class.

The factory trim levels assumed the use of wheels with a mounting diameter of 17, 18, and 19 inches and tires in the size of 215/65 R17, 225/55 R18, and 235/50 R19. When purchasing wheels and tires for this crossover in the "Mosavtoshina" online store, owners can easily select suitable options that fully comply with the factory parameters.
