The engine range was composed mainly of the same power units used in the Accord - these are petrol "fours" with a volume of 1.8 to 2.3 liters, including a turbocharged version of the 2-liter engine. The only difference was the 2-liter T-series turbocharged diesel engine, which was previously used in other Rover models.

In terms of equipment, the sedan stood out favorably against not only the Accord but also most "classmates" of other brands. Already in the "base" version, natural wood trim and a large number of decorative elements with chrome plating were used. The interior design, with a few exceptions, fully repeated the salon from another Honda model, namely the Ascot Innova, available only on the domestic Japanese market. All released copies had an electromechanical power steering, immobilizer alarm and central locking, electric front door windows, and tinted glass.
