The car turned out to be quite distinctive, however, this did not help it become as popular as the Fiesta and Corsa. However, its sales were higher than those of most other well-known "supermini" of that time, starting from Peugeot 206 and ending with Volkswagen Polo and its "clones" from Skoda and Seat.
