Victory in the test went to Bridgestone Blizzak LM005 tires, which were particularly impressive on a wet road. However, compared to other "good" test tires, they had the highest wear recorded.
And the second-place Michelin Alpin 6 tires can indeed boast of high mileage, with a predicted lifespan of almost 43,000 km. At the same time, on a dry road, the French premium-class development is slightly weaker than the leader of the competition.

The fifth place in the rating of winter tires ADAC 2020 was taken by Maxxis Premitra Snow WP6 from the Taiwanese manufacturer. They closed the "green" group, within which they were the best in tests on a dry surface, but on a wet road and winter coatings, their coupling properties are slightly inferior to their competitors. Their resistance to wear is at the level of Bridgestone tires. A good debut in the tests.
Poor dry road performance marred the reputation of the premium Continental WinterContact TS 860 and Goodyear UltraGrip 9+ (two 7th places), although otherwise there were no complaints about them. Sava Eskimo HP2 tires (9th place) with low rolling resistance and good snow performance showed mediocre results in "wet" disciplines due to poor handling.

A sharp lack of grip properties on a dry road led to the "flight" of Semperit Speed-Grip 3 tires to 13th place in the rating. Although its performance on snow was very good, and the grip properties on a wet surface are better than those of Dunlop tires.
The only winter model with a restored tread in the test, the King Meiler Winter Tact WT81 (14th place), was one of the two test participants that the experts gave a verdict of "Not Recommended". The characteristics of these tires on a wet road leave much to be desired: they not only have the longest braking distance, but also the worst handling. They are also characterized by a serious lack of traction on dry asphalt and provide the worst ride comfort. On snow, the results are satisfactory, but significantly lower than those of the main competitors.
It is noteworthy that the predicted mileage of the King Meiler Winter Tact WT81 based on the wear test is the highest - around 45,000 km, more than Michelin. But the obvious prevalence of drawbacks in the wear criteria cannot be hidden...
The main outsider of the test is the Tristar Snowpower HP (15th place). These winter tires performed well in dry-surface disciplines, impressing with the shortest braking distance, but their use on snow and especially on wet roads is highly questionable according to the ADAC expert group. The shortcomings of these Chinese tires are most noticeable on wet asphalt: handling and resistance to lateral aquaplaning are very poor.
