Tyre reviews Venom Power Terra Hunter X/T. Page 1 399

The tire is very worthy for this price. I replaced the Nokian R5 non-studded tire and didn't notice a big difference, only that it's a bit noisier at speeds of 80-110, but only if you listen very closely. I recommend this tire to everyone. It handles snow well, holds on ice, and is excellent on asphalt with no wobbling, it keeps the road even in a rut and behaves very well without throwing you anywhere. At high speeds, it keeps the road perfectly. In snow, slush, and on the road, it's excellent, as well as on off-road and wet asphalt, it's excellent.

An excellent tire for its price. Stunning appearance. Very satisfied. No issues with installation. Road noise is not too loud, considering it's an A/T tire.

Overall, of course, I like the tires. Excellent traction in the rain and light snow. The only thing that bothers me a bit is the hum during fast driving. It's not terrible, but noticeable.
I didn't notice a big difference from Goodrich.

265/60/18 For those who think that off-road tires can be quiet, these tires are not suitable. There is noise, but it's moderate. For A/T tires, the tread is powerful. This is not 75% highway, 25% off-road, but rather 50% on 50%. The contact patch is 1.5-2 cm wider than that of 265-sized counterparts. This is a rarity now. But because of this, it "scratches" on asphalt grooves. On spring thawed wet dirt (field road) - it's a bomb! But without fanaticism - it's not an M/T tire after all. I managed to drive on ice for a couple of days - it holds and brakes well, but I think this is because the tread is still sharp, and once it wears out, the effect will likely disappear. Still, for winter - winter tires are better. Conclusion - hunting, fishing, country house, city - Yes, heavy off-road or lots of highway - No.

I was hesitant to buy these tires for a long time, deterred by reviews about their noise level. I have a 2020 three-door Niva (with a large amount of additional sound insulation). In the end, I decided to take a risk. The tires are excellent! They perform well both in the city and on the highway in terms of comfort and economy, as well as off-road. At first, they were noisy (howling at certain speeds), but after about 1000 km of running-in, they became almost inaudible in the cabin. I previously had Nokian Aoutpost AT tires. I like the Venom more. After the running-in period, the noise level of the Venom is almost indistinguishable from the Nokian (but I repeat that my Niva has a huge amount of additional sound insulation). Off-road, the Venom's traction properties are better than the Nokian's. This is especially noticeable on steep descents off-road. The Niva is almost not skidding off course. It also started to get out of the rut perfectly. In general, I highly recommend these tires if you have good sound insulation in your car!

I bought the 265/75/16 LT version. The UAZ holds the road perfectly on these tires. I read American reviews, some people had problems with balancing, but that was with the first batches, now there are no problems. Mine was balanced perfectly. The tire itself is more than A/T, something between A/T and M/T, so it's a bit noisier than asphalt tires. High tread of about 13 mm. Strong sidewall with 3 layers! Let's see how it will perform in terms of wear)
