This tire is a 2-season one. Before that, I always drove with a siping. Tires are normal. I drove 700km to Rostov and back in winter of 2017. The studs are in place. Noisy.

The studs are very "aggressive" – loud on one side, but I think they will hold better on ice due to their unique shape than the traditional round stud. We'll ride more – see how they hold up until the real winters come.

The car handles smoothly on ice and snow (including wet snow) without any complaints. I enter turns without any worries. The only minus I've found so far is that the tires are very noisy on asphalt. However, I don't consider this a significant drawback - given the shape of the studs and the number of them, some noise is simply inevitable. You tend to get used to it over time. The price-quality ratio is on point.

My opinion about Pirelli Winter Ice Zero tyres is very positive.
Where most people are struggling to make the ascent on a compacted, icy road, I'm driving almost like I'm on a dry asphalt.
(I wrote "almost" because I'm no physics expert).
Also, they show themselves well in situations involving overtaking on the edge lines.
Of course, there is some slight lateral drift sometimes.
