Tyre reviews Nitto Trail Grappler. Page 1 44

It's hard to write a review, especially when comparing. Even more so when the selection for comparison is limited. The tire models I've managed to drive on prior to this: BFG KM1, BFG KM2, Contyre Expedition. There's no point in talking about the downsides of the Trail Grappler, they're obvious - nothing's perfect. No winter driving, smooth movements on wet asphalt - a real head-turner. They do make a bit of noise, but

Great tire, cuts through mud and snow with ease!
Slips on ice not at all.
Snow and dry snow provides excellent traction and braking on the road.
Noise-wise, it's almost silent, which is impressive, considering my previous tire was a Bridgestone all-season, with the same level of noise.
At 140 km/h, handling is good, but you don't buy this kind of tire to drive on asphalt!

I bought these tires for off-road driving. They performed flawlessly on rough terrain with rocky landscapes and sharp turns, with no cuts or damage at all. On the wet ground after a rain, they don't slip, allowing for confident driving. They are easy to take out of a rut. I haven't taken any extreme routes, but I'm not a "worm-eater". The tires are quiet on asphalt, 4+ I'd say, with a noise level acceptable given the tread.

265/75 R16. MT tyres first. Can't compare to analogues yet, but it rides confidently in the mud. Only leaves the track if you're skidding. Deflated, it's off-road heaven. In deep ruts, the tread allows you to scrape through, excellent traction. Stones - excellent. Sand - haven't tried. On the highway, there is a rumble, more than on an AT, but not strong and it doesn't bother (not like a helicopter

Size: 33/12.5/15. In reality, 34/13. Extremely quiet and soft tire. Really liked it, balances perfectly. So far, the best MT tire. Drove around 1000 km. Rating of durability, snow, ice unknown yet, so 5 stars.

Wheels are good, strong, heavy. + 3L per 100km on the highway.

I struggled with choosing the right tyre for a long time, tried a few different ones and they only lasted one season. I saw this tyre in a store, had my doubts, but decided to give it a go and it's been a great decision. I've been using it for three seasons now, both in winter and summer on asphalt and off-road, and it still has around 50% tread left. It's quiet, doesn't get clogged, doesn't wear unevenly and has

Whoa, I feel at home on sand, mud, asphalt! The rocky surface swallows the road whole! On a wet road I wouldn't recommend more than 150.

Heavier than road tires. Sufficiently soft. Grip undoubtedly well. Hold the car on slippery clay so you can kinda understand where to steer.

The tire is excellent and very quiet, even quieter than Nokian studded tire, in essence, the noise starts from a speed of 100-110 km/h and then it is almost inaudible due to the wind noise. The tire performs well on mud, I hit a log and there were no signs of it, I haven't tried it on ice and snow, nor do I plan to. The MT of the beech tree is as it should be. In general, I
