Tyre reviews Kumho Ecsta PS71. Page 6 940

In general, I decided to give up on Russian-made Yokohama in favor of Kumho for a number of reasons. I live in the south and we have a very rainy autumn-winter and a very hot summer. The Yokohama A-drive did not cope with aquaplaning and on heated asphalt, it turned into winter tires in the summer. Wear on the highway was strong, and in the rain, I had to catch the car. I took these Kumho. For resistance to aquaplaning, it's 5 plus. I won't say that it's noisier or quieter than the same Yokohama. Rather, it's the same. It handles road irregularities well. But as it seems to me, this tire is for a car that is slightly lighter. Braking is worse than Yokohama. Tire fitters praise the tire for the quality of manufacture. Everything is even, well-balanced. In general, 4 plus for this tire. Of course, this is compared to tires that cost 7-10 thousand.

The tire is noisy.
It doesn't like coarse asphalt, and in my region, it's predominantly that, so I drove with a constant hum from the tires, and as soon as I got onto a smooth road section, there was silence.
It's tough. It becomes softer when the temperature outside reaches +17, I drove on it for three seasons, and I've studied all its habits.
It doesn't like ruts.
Recently, I changed to winter tires, my GOOD&YEAR ULTRA GRIP GEN-1, and I drive as if I'm wearing soft slippers, much quieter and softer.
The wear is somehow wild, after 3 full seasons, it's already close to the limit, about 1mm to go.- Vehicle:

Great tires. Thanks to Mosavtoshina! The car has become different. The standard Belshina can... but if there is an opportunity, change to decent tires.

Acceptable tires in their price category, water is drained well, there was no aquaplaning. The noise is adequate. In the rain, there are minor skids when starting, but not critical.

There are no complaints about the supplier, the production year on the tire is normal 23. But the tire itself in this size 285/40/21 is not very good, it throws in the groove so that you need to hold the steering wheel with both hands.

I purchased tires for my Audi Q7 2021 in size 285/35/22 for a 9.5J wide rim, and they fit perfectly, exactly matching the rim width.
Although the recommended parameters are 10J.
At +30°C, it doesn't drift. It holds the road excellently, and there's no tread wandering.
Previously, I had Yokohama V105 on the same rim width, and it was a bit loose... and when cornering, this looseness would play out like jelly.
I'm satisfied with the tires and the price.
By the way, few people mention it, but the treadwear index of 420 indicates that the tires are not very prone to wear. We'll see.- Vehicle:

I would like to warn potential buyers - in the rain, under no circumstances should you accelerate to more than 80-90 km/h. At high speeds, they instantly "float"! In all other respects, especially considering that I bought them on sale for 8500 rubles, they are excellent tires.

The tires were disappointing, having a strong influence on handling when sticky, as well as rolling resistance... after switching from winter to summer tires, it's better to sign up because the car is pulling to one side, it's just awful, partially fixed by swapping the left tire with the right one.

The tires are excellent, in my non-professional opinion. The price-quality ratio is the main advantage, of course. Handling is excellent, especially I liked how the car behaves on a wet road when entering puddles on the highway. It feels like the water is drained very well, the aquaplaning effect is minimized. Not noisy. I won't say anything about wear - I've only driven 2500 km on them so far.
