We drove through the mountainous region of Abkhazia. A very sharp "skidpad", mud (after the rains). We dropped to 1 atmosphere. In the mud, they helped a lot, didn't spin out compared to other participants. Many cars with AT tires got side cuts. Our car's tires got cuts, but they all held up (no patching), the sidewalls turned out to be strong.
As for handling on snow - even with 3, I

Some people drive on them year-round, I think it's the extreme sports enthusiasts: they don't brake on ice and "slushy" snow at all. If not warmed up - it's like ice skates. When exiting the yard, a turn down at 90 degrees - after the first non-melted snow in October at a speed not exceeding 5 (!) km/h almost ended up in parked cars (the car simply slid sideways).
Therefore,

The tire was installed on a new Mitsubishi PAjero Sport in 2013 in the size 265/75 R16. Four years of use (Cooper discoverer M+S for winter) - wear is not great. It grips surprisingly reliably, easily sheds mud under the diesel engine, but in sand, you need to be careful, getting stuck in a few seconds. With a bit of sense and no unnecessary acceleration, it drives everywhere that the stock suspension allows it to crawl on its belly

I searched for three sets of 285/75/16 tires for two vehicles.
One drawback for me was the fast wear. To be able to drive in the mud and not to the bare wheel, it wears out at 30 thousand km.
I searched for three sets and each did not exceed 30 thousand km and then turned into a highway, not a mud tire..
On unpaved roads, it is not just good, but very good. I had to- Vehicle:

A good off-road tire that allows you to move relatively comfortably on the asphalt.

I have 265/75 R16 MTKM2, which I've been running for four seasons and plan to put on for a fifth. It's done 70-80,000 km I'm not sure about - I didn't actually keep track. I've taken it on four Mongolian expeditions and now plan to put it on for a fifth. The only puncture it's had was one – thick tread is good for that. On ice, it's indeed become somewhat icy

Standard off-road tires. In my, subjective, opinion they are overpriced by 30%.
