Description Yokohama Ice Guard IG35+
Having just appeared on the domestic market, the winter tire Ice Guard IG35+ has been in high demand. It is due to several factors at once, the main of which is a very attractive ratio of price and quality for a foreign model. At a low cost, it offered improved operational properties, primarily traction on ice and snow.
Multifunctional central rib
A significant part of the tread is occupied by a longitudinal rib. The large width of this element is due to its tapered shape with numerous angles and faces arranged at different angles to the direction of motion. Such a design allows for significant improvement of several operational properties, in addition to directional stability and handling. We are talking about longitudinal traction and high resistance to skidding.
3D lamellae and 8-row studding
This model is characterized by good traction characteristics on icy and snowy surfaces. They are provided by several technical solutions at once. One of them is several thousand 3D lamellae located literally a few millimeters apart from each other. The edges formed by them during movement are sufficiently high to provide the tire with the ability to grip a smooth icy surface covered with a water film.
An additional, but not secondary, factor that determines the increased traction properties on ice, is the studs. They are arranged in such a way that during movement they form 8 continuous rows.
Key features of Yokohama Ice Guard IG35+
- a wide tapered central rib improves stability and traction on winter roads;
- a multitude of grooves at an angle in the shoulder areas provide resistance to aquaplaning and slushplaning;
- 3D lamellae and 8 rows of studs allow you to move confidently on ice and rolled snow.
