The Michelin e.Primacy ST summer tire has been present with the manufacturer since 2023. During this period, it has managed to prove its effectiveness and remains relevant to this day. The model provides low rolling resistance, low noise, and quick response to steering wheel turns. Therefore, its application area is not only conventional vehicles with internal combustion engines, but also electric cars, the number of which is increasing in the world.
The ability to achieve versatility in terms of application was made possible through the use of advanced modeling technologies. Thanks to them, a special tread pattern was developed with a minimum number of elements, but characterized by a robust fixation of the contact patch. Its basis consists of three equally sized ribs with diagonal grooves. It is they that form the engaging surfaces, increasing the reliability of the coupling properties. To stabilize the elements themselves at high-speed modes, stiffness bridges are placed in the ring grooves. They prevent the deformation effect, due to which the working characteristics of the tread remain always at a high level. This should be added to the reinforced frame, which perfectly withstands the increased loads exerted by electric vehicles. The small number of elements, as well as their special arrangement, had a positive effect on noise reduction and ensuring increased acoustic comfort in the vehicle cabin.
A special compound was used as a compound, which effectively resists not only abrasive wear, but also high temperatures. Achieving such indicators was made possible through the use of a whole package of synthetic inclusions, as well as a special technology for mixing the compound. The result is a prolonged operational period, even taking into account regular high-speed driving.
