The Hankook K137 Ventus evo summer tire is one of the flagships of the "passenger" line of models of the South Korean brand. The "target audience" of this tire is the owners of premium class cars who value not only uncompromising traction in any conditions, but also comfort in everyday use.
To a large extent, the versatility of this model is ensured by the breaker reinforced with an additional layer of aramid fiber. This gives the component, located directly under the tread, additional resistance to deformation, which allows the contact patch to maintain its original shape and size when driving at high speeds, providing precision and ease of handling. It is worth noting the increased shoulder areas of the tread pattern, which further enhances these properties, especially on dry pavement, as well as providing greater resistance to abrasive wear of the entire tread.
The next important feature of this model is the composition of the rubber compound used in its tread. It contains artificially synthesized "silica", while being manufactured using low-temperature vulcanization. This process ensures high uniformity of the compound at the molecular level, which significantly improves all the basic operational properties of the tire, first of all, traction on wet pavement and resistance to abrasive wear. The rubber compound "works" in conjunction with the tread pattern, which provides enhanced heat dissipation from the tire, preventing the formation of small cracks in its structure, which has a positive effect on the service life.
