The Hankook IK01 iON Evo summer tire is specifically designed for passenger vehicles with electric powertrains. This model is characterized by low rolling resistance, combined with sporty precision handling and stable traction on dry and wet surfaces.
The tire's tread is made of the ProDurable compound, adapted for use in electric vehicles that weigh about a third more than their counterparts with traditional internal combustion engines. In combination with the optimized tread profile, this rubber mixture provides comparable mileage to replacement. Another feature of the tire is the asymmetrical tread pattern, which features stiff and massive elements. This design provides increased stability at high speeds, precise handling in turns, while reducing rolling resistance and wear. At the same time, the tire remains effective on wet surfaces. This is due to the presence of a large number of transverse drainage elements and lamellas, as well as a significant volume of longitudinal grooves.
