The summer tire Hankook IK01A iON Evo SUV is designed for use in crossovers with hybrid or fully electric powertrains. It is characterized by improved traction and grip properties on dry and wet surfaces, reduced rolling resistance, durability, and acoustic comfort.
Extended Service Life
One of the distinctive features of the tire is its increased mileage when continuously and for a long time exposed to the large mass of crossovers with hybrid and electric powertrains. This is largely ensured by the characteristics of the rubber compound used in the manufacture of the tread. The ProDurable compound has a composition based on natural rubber, silicon dioxide, and a complex of special polymers, which makes the tread stand out for its resistance to abrasive wear and prolonged heating. Another factor that determines its significant mileage is the optimized profile of the running part and the structure of the carcass, which provide a uniform distribution of pressure over the road surface, reducing the level of mechanical impact on the tread.
Improved Handling
In addition to other advantages, the tire is distinguished by excellent handling and stability at high speeds. In addition to the design of the tread pattern, this is ensured by the special structure of the breaker. In the part located under the shoulder zones of the tread pattern, there is an additional cord strip made of aramid fibers, a lightweight material with increased mechanical strength for tension and rupture. It increases the stiffness of the shoulder tread blocks by 10%, which improves the course stability and accuracy of control during dynamic maneuvering.
