It is built on the same platform as the more compact Korando, but in a modified version, differing in an increased distance between the axles, also offering a bearing body, transverse arrangement of the power unit in the front, and front-wheel drive in the base versions. Despite the fairly large internal volume, the salon has a 5-seat configuration, which, along with the increased rear overhang, provides a rather impressive volume of the trunk - 703 liters under the curtain. Its interior is designed in a modern style, tending towards minimalism. The instrument panel is a very compact wide-format display due to its small height. Next to it is a 12.3-inch screen of the multimedia system, and below it is an 8-inch touch panel, replacing the climate control unit, electric heating and ventilation of the seats. In turn, the list of additional options, in addition to the box on the outside, is distinguished by the presence of an adaptive "cruise" and a complex of electronic assistants with a function of controlling "blind" zones and road markings.At the start of sales, the crossover was maximally unified with Korando, sharing most of the components with it. First of all, this is an in-line gasoline "four" with a turbine with a volume of 1.5 liters with a return at peak loads of up to 170 liters. s. and 280 Nm, which even in the basic versions had a starter-generator. The power unit was combined exclusively with a 6-speed automatic transmission from Aisin.
