The car, which debuted in 2018, turned out to be a technical "twin" of the Roewe RX5 crossover, also produced by SAIC. The SSA platform is used here, which implies the presence of a multi-link suspension at the rear and a "MacPherson" strut at the front. Most of the cars were equipped with two in-line petrol "fours" with turbocharging, with a volume of 1.5 and 2 liters. The base 1.5-liter version with a capacity of 169 liters was available with both a 6-speed "mechanics" and a 7-range robotic gearbox with a dual clutch. In turn, the most powerful 2-liter modification, offering 220 liters, could only be combined with a 6-speed "robot" with a so-called "wet" clutch. It was the only one in the line that was available with all-wheel drive, implemented through a coupling located on the rear axle. The car was available with a hybrid power unit. It used a 1.5-liter engine from the base version, which was combined with a 122-horsepower electric motor. The components were connected to each other through a 10-speed transmission, which, in turn, consisted of a 6-speed automatic transmission for the internal combustion engine and a 4-speed transmission for the electric motor. Under peak loads, such a power unit produced 291 liters and a torque of 480 Nm, allowing it to accelerate to "hundred" in 5.8 seconds and giving the ability to move using only electricity up to 51 km.In terms of exterior, the car was significantly different from the technical "twin" from Roewe with a more "muscular" design. The interior was more impressive at the time, where a virtual instrument panel was already used in the standard trim, along with a 9-inch screen of the multimedia system. In the most expensive versions, front seats with deliberately highlighted lateral support and integrated head restraints in the back were offered. The car could boast of a complex of electronic assistants with control of "blind" zones, road markings and the approach of other cars when moving backwards. The list of additional options included acoustics from Bose, contour LED lighting, and a panoramic roof.
Second Generation
In the summer of 2024, the debut of the car of the second iteration took place. Unlike its predecessor, which boasted an authentic design, the novelty turned out to be almost an exact copy of the Roewe RX5 crossover, which changed generations two years earlier. In technical terms, the car is available in two modifications that differ in power units. The base versions are equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with a volume of 1.5 liters, developing 169 liters and 275 Nm. It can be combined with both a 6-speed "mechanics" and a 7-range robotic gearbox. An alternative is a hybrid modification with the same engine, but with a power of 142 liters, which works in conjunction with a 209-horsepower electric motor and a traction battery with a capacity of 24.7 kWh. The range of this version on electric power reaches 121 km, and acceleration to "hundred" takes 6.8 seconds.In terms of equipment, the car is simpler than the Roewe RX5. First of all, this affected the screens of the instrument panel and the multimedia system, which, although increased to 12.3 inches, are two separate components, not one, like the "original". Another difference is the "cut" steering wheel from the bottom and the design of the central console and the transmission mode selector. The level of equipment of the car compared to its "classmates" is quite high, including cameras "around the circle", a complex of electronic assistants, wireless charging for smartphones, as well as the ability to wirelessly output the image from them to the multimedia system screen.
