In the second half of 2004, the vehicle underwent a planned update. A significant portion of the changes affected the exterior. The front end received new headlights and a radiator grille with massive chrome-plated bars on the more expensive trim levels. The interior got a four-spoke steering wheel and improved trim materials. In terms of technology, the changes only affected the engines, which all received turbocharging and a number of other components that allowed them to meet Euro-2 requirements. 15-inch wheels and tires were standard for this vehicle.
