The car debuted in 1972, representing a relatively small commercial model that was available with both a standard and extended wheelbase. It was created on the basis of the Florian, a mid-size sedan of the brand, from which a number of components and the design of the front part were also borrowed. The key difference was the chassis, traditional for a pickup - a ladder frame, rear-wheel drive, front suspension on A-shaped levers in combination with leaf springs at the back. In 1978, the manufacturer began to offer modifications with all-wheel drive and a double cab. The engine range was based on an in-line carburetor petrol "four", with a volume of 1.6 liters, with a power of 94 hp. An alternative to it was a 2-liter diesel engine, developing 62 hp. For the Japanese market, the manufacturer offered a version of the petrol engine with an overhead valve, because of which its power was limited to 84 hp, and the maximum speed - 135 km/h. Depending on the version, all power units were combined with a 4-speed manual or 3-range automatic transmission. The "automatic" was available primarily for "North American" versions of the pickup, along with front disc brakes and a 1.8-liter engine, which were sold as Chevrolet LUV.
