Acura RSX – a sports-type coupe was introduced by the Japanese manufacturer in 2001. The model became a logical continuation of the "Integra". The car received mixed reviews due to its suspension and engines.

Technical Features

The model was based on a new platform, which allowed improving the driving characteristics. It provided for the installation of "MacPherson" struts at the front and double-link elements at the rear. According to the manufacturer, this was supposed to improve handling at high speeds.

There were two main trim levels:

- base – implied the installation of a K20A3 engine with 155 horsepower, a volume of 1.6 liters. It was paired with a 5-speed manual or automatic transmission. The equipment included a fabric interior, cruise control, CD player, an audio system with 6 speakers, remote access, and 16-inch disks;
- type-s — had a more powerful K20Z1 engine with 201 horsepower and a volume of 2 liters. A 6-speed manual transmission was used, with gear ratios closer together. This factor allowed for faster gear shifting. The equipment included leather seats, a 6-disc CD changer, premium acoustics, a suspension with more rigid settings, and 17-inch disks.

Restyling

In 2005, the Acura RSX underwent a modernization that mainly affected the engine and suspension settings. The engine became more powerful, producing 210 horsepower due to changes in the camshafts and the exhaust system. The suspension received new stabilizers, and the clearance was reduced by 7 mm. This positively affected the car's aerodynamic properties. Some changes were also made to the steering, which became more informative and responsive. The exterior design was also modified, with changes to the front and rear bumpers, the radiator grille, and the headlight unit. Thanks to this, the exterior became even more sporty.

The car was produced until 2006, after which the company stopped its production and gave priority to the younger Honda Civic model.
