They look very good, the rubber is soft

Simply excellent.

I recently installed these tires on my Dodge Ram 1500, with a seasonal change, size 275/65 R20. The batch was from 23 years ago, i.e. they had been stored in warehouses for quite a long time. To be honest, I didn't expect the replacement to have such a noticeable effect.

The first thing you notice immediately after leaving the tire shop is the softness. For an all-terrain tire, this is a rare and very pleasant surprise. The characteristic "stiffness" of the old tires is gone, and the vibrations from the asphalt joints and small gravel now barely reach the cabin. The steering has become more responsive, and the road holding is simply excellent.

There is noise on the highway, but it's even and not annoying - on long trips, it doesn't get tiring at all. On wet roads, it grips confidently, cuts through puddles without any hint of aquaplaning, and braking is precise. Dry asphalt is a real pleasure: acceleration, lane changes, and sharp maneuvers are handled stably. For dirt roads, forest trails, and off-road excursions, there's more than enough confidence. The tread self-cleans normally, the sidewall is dense, and on the highway, it doesn't "float" or wander.

There's a 3PMSF symbol (mountain peak with a snowflake) on the sidewall, but I won't be using these tires in winter. The most they'll "catch" is the off-season and a couple of light morning frosts. The marking is nice, of course, but the emphasis here is clearly on comfort and versatility in warm weather, not on winter use.

Overall, I'm very pleased with the tires. For their price, the Terra Hunter X/T2 gives exactly what a pickup truck needs for everyday use: softness, precise handling on asphalt, and readiness for light off-roading without overpaying for loud brands. If you're looking for an all-terrain tire that doesn't make you compromise on stiffness and noise on the highway - I highly recommend it. I'll write about the wear closer to the end of the season, but the first impressions are a solid five.
