So, this tire has been on my car for 6 years, with a mileage of around 50,000 km, which allows me to form an objective opinion. First - the tire is very durable, over this time and mileage, only 4-5 studs have come off on the front wheels, and only a couple on the rear. Second - they grip very well on snow, it's true, they have good traction. I was able to drive to my garage through a field in deep snowdrifts - not once did I get stuck, although it was already spring and the snow was wet. That's all the positives.

The negatives - the car handles very poorly in turns, especially on packed snow or ice. It skids, and you need to be extremely careful when choosing the speed at which you enter a turn. On ice/packed snow, the movement is only confident when driving straight, and it responds to braking. But God forbid you get into a rut - it starts to wander very strongly, and it becomes scary to drive.

There are no complaints on asphalt, but that's not particularly important for a winter tire, after all, the behavior on winter surfaces is more important. Is this a good tire?

Rather yes than no. But I've decided for myself that I won't buy it again. The main reason - the very uncertain cross-stability and compression in turns.

Price and quality of tyres are simply superb.

Bought these tyres with the car. Very disappointed. Nice tread design and still 7-9mm tread depth but not stopping on ice and gets worn out on snow. Changed to Michelin X-i N 4

This tire has a long braking distance on snow and ice, as well as a tendency to slide sideways on turns even at low speeds. I recommend using it on a car equipped with ESP. The tire is loud, but the noise is slightly less pronounced with the studs. It's worth buying if you can't afford anything better, although the Gislaved Nord Frost 200 is available at a similar price point and performs better in every aspect.
